About Clabr

The best contacts are local

Clabr is built on one belief: the people who actually move you forward usually live surprisingly close by. Not on the other side of the country, not somewhere online — just around the corner.

The story

Why we're building Clabr

Honestly: we're building Clabr for ourselves too. We're a small team with new plans, and we noticed that for specific roles — a developer, a designer, a tradesperson — we kept ending up searching further and further outside our own surroundings. On LinkedIn, via Google, through networks somewhere else entirely. While it felt much more logical to first look around us.

And then it hit us: we actually don't know what the people three streets away do. That's kind of strange when you think about it. Someone close by might be exactly the marketer, photographer or builder we were looking for — but we never bumped into each other. Not on the street, not online, nowhere.

Local collaboration is just easier: grab a coffee, drop by each other's workspace, meet up quickly without hours of travel. We're building Clabr because we ourselves want to work with people from the neighborhood — and because we suspect that's true for a lot of others too.

Clabr makes one simple action visible: someone puts themselves on the map. No feed, no followers, no algorithms. Just: who's near me, and what do they do.

Our principles

What we do differently

Local first

Our matching works within 20 km. Not to limit you, but because that's the kind of contact that translates into actual collaboration.

Visible once

You create a profile once. After that the work happens automatically: AI matches, people find you, conversations start. No funnels.

No scores, no ranking

We don't show reviews, stars or leaderboards. Your reputation doesn't depend on people who don't even know you yet.

Free stays free

The more people join, the stronger the network. Charging for the core would undermine that. So we don't.

Who it's for

Who Clabr is for

Clabr is for anyone who knows or can do something and wants to offer it locally without having to sell themselves: freelancers, contractors, coaches, entrepreneurs, creatives, beginners. Experience level doesn't matter — willingness does.

We ask one thing: no outbound. Inbound only. Others come to you, not the other way around.

— Local first. Inbound only. Free forever. —

Where we are

Clabr launched in Amsterdam in May 2026 and is expanding region by region. We build slowly, ask feedback from everyone who joins, and iterate on that. No launch hype, no growth team — just putting something out there that works, and letting it grow on quality.
